Kelingking Beach, Bali

Kelingking Beach, with its dramatically curved cliff, is said to resemble a T-rex (though I see a whale, turning to the right.)  In Indonesian, ‘Kelingkin’ means ‘little finger’.  I can understand this, the cliff does look like a crooked little finger.

This is one of the most photographed spots on Bali, and lord knows, there are a lot of great photo-ops on the island.  The sand is pure white, the cliffs provide a dramatic framing, and the sea is that perfect tropical turquoise.

Still, it’s best simple admired, as swimming is heavily restricted on the beach due to dangerous currents.
