Nestled
in the Escambray Mountains, not too far from Cienfeugos, is the El Nicho
National Park. Apart from the stunning
jungle scenery and lush mountain ridges, this place is famous (and named after)
the El Nicho waterfall, perhaps Cub’s most perfect cascade.
This
is one of Cuba’s hidden gems and a perfect place to cool off after a long jungle
hike, enjoying the crystal clear water and the chirping of tropical birds in
the trees.
