One of the last wilderness areas left in the UK, the Cairngorms National Park is a spectacular natural gem. This subarctic climate is home to wildlife found nowhere else in the nation, including the majestic golden eagle and reindeer.
The
park is cloaked with dark pine forests and ringed by soaring snow-capped
mountains. Cold and unforgiving, no
crops can be planted here, meaning the Cairngorms have resisted the march of
the centuries and retain the ancient beauty of the Scottish Highlands.
