Grays Peak is the highest point on the Continental Divide Trail. It’s a 14er, rising to 14,276 ft (4,351 m) in elevation, but is considered an easy climb relative to its size. It’s a popular destination for day hikers, so the CDT can get uncharacteristically busy on its slopes.
Torreys
Peak is another one of Colorado’s 14ers, its peak at a height of 14,275 ft (4,
349 m). It’s often combined with nearby
Grays Peak by ambitious hikers looking to conquer two 14ers in one day. The Grays-Torreys hiking trail connects the
two, and the summit of this mountain offers some brilliant views of the local
peaks and glaciers as well as a chance to spot the golden eagles that can often
be seen circling the snowy peaks.
