Laurharne was the home of the famous Welsh poet Dylan Thomas.
Thomas settled into his ‘boathouse’ – a pretty whitewashed cottage near the estuary of the river Taf to pen his forceful, exuberant and darkly comic works.
Today this is a place of pilgrimage, his readers visit the little boathouse, recall their favourite verses and admire the ‘the sloeback, slow black, crowblack, fishingboat bobbing sea.’
