Located on the border between the states of Sao Paolo and Rio de Janeiro at an altitude of 6065ft (1860m) is the Pedra da Macela viewpoint.
A hike to the top on a clear day affords spectacular views of the entire bay of Paraty, Ilha Grande (Grand Island) and the colourful port of Angra dos Reis.
