The Zugspitze is Germany’s highest peak, standing at around 10,000 ft (2,962m). A formidable challenge for all but the most experienced alpinists, here is found a stunning landscape of craggy, forbidding peaks and deep snowdrifts.
The
mountain is most famous as a skiing destination, where daring sportspeople can
take advantage of the plunging slopes to reach incredible speeds and have
amazing fun.
