Built in the 17th Century, this exquisitely detailed tomb commemorates the renowned Mughal poet and scholar Afzal Khan Shirazi.
He was the Grand Vizier (Prime Minister) of the Mughal Empire during the magnificent reign of Shah Jahan, a time of great culture and sophistication.
The
golden age Shirazi lived through is reflected in this beautiful building with
its unique tilework, forming dazzling patterns of violet, indigo, turquoise,
and orange.
