Armadillos, Amazon

These sweet creatures are the armadillos of the Amazon, instantly recognizable by the tough carapaces on their back.

Perhaps the most interesting member of this genus is the giant armadillo.  Finding his food in ant and termite hills, this fellow has quite an appetite, often consuming the whole colony in one meal.  He’s also a great sprinter, able to reach speeds of up to 30mph (48kmh).  Finally, he’s famous for his smell, opting for a strong, sweet-smelling eau de parfum.
