Millbrook Village is a picturesque recreation of a typical 19-century American community, nestled within the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
The village offers a chance to step back in time and glimpse life in the 1800s. It features restored homes a schoolhouse, a gristmill, and a church, all of which were either original to the area or relocated from within the park for preservation.
Many
of these buildings, including a mill moved from another site, reflect the area’s
history as a mill town, where residents were involved in agriculture,
blacksmithing, and millwork, creating a thriving hub for local farming and
trade.
