These are some of the most beautiful mountains in the United States.
The Grand Tetons rise suddenly from the plain, blue-grey in the sunlight, the white of snowdrifts flashing from the tops of the peaks.
This pristine alpine was declared a National Park in 1929 and is named for its most prominent peak, Grand Teton, which stands up in all its craggy glory as the focal point of the park.
