One of the highlights of camping under the stars along the PCT is the night sky itself. As darkness settles, the stars flood the sky, stretching in every direction. Out here, so far from the city lights, the constellations put on a show, with the Milky Way cutting through like a deep, glowing river. The air is crisp, the landscape quiet, and the cosmos enveloping.
Time
slows down as the stars twinkle and slowly shift across the sky – or is it the
Earth that’s shifting? It’s hard to
tell, but in that moment, the vastness feels peaceful, each star a part of
something bigger.
