This
Benedictine abbey is approaching its thousandth birthday, and it has been
through a lot. Destroyed many times by
illustrious historical figures, including Napoleon Bonaparte, the current church
building dates from the mid-18th century.
It’s a beautiful, serene place, best visited during a recital played on the famous baroque organ, which resounds beautifully in the church’s perfect acoustics and atmosphere.
